SplitMultiSeis SynchroBox 3.0 is designed to synchronize the moment of the shot coming from the excitation source with the moment of recording at the seismic station. The principle of operation of the device
The synchro box is assembled on the basis of a microcontroller. The reference frequency source is a quartz oscillator, which ensures the accuracy of maintaining a frequency of 100 ppm.
The architecture of the system allows you to set the timing pulse delays in the range from 0 to 4 seconds, with a discreteness of 1 ms. The pulse duration can be in the range of 4 – 4000 ms, with a discreteness of 4 ms. The polarity of the pulse can be forward and reverse. It is set individually for each channel.
There are 2 groups of channels A B and C D in the block. For a group of channels A and B, a repeatability period is set. The delay is set for the 2nd group of channels, relative to the first one. Up to 3 pulses of channels C D can be implemented within the period of repetition of the signal on channels A to B.The accuracy of the coincidence of the leading edges of the pulses is < 1 microsecond.
The output is a TTL signal with a range of 0 – 5 V. The load capacity is at least 20 mA, short circuit protection is present. The current sources at all outputs are independent and have optical isolation.
