SOCIAL PROJECTS
Educational geophysical practices for students of Lomonosov Moscow State University
Expeditions of the Floating University of Moscow State University TTR (Traning Through Research)
SPLIT has been carrying out educational geophysical practices at the Department of Seismometry and Geoacoustics of the Geological Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University for many years.

The training takes place on the territory of the Belomorsky Biological Station named after N.A.Pertsov, Faculty of Biology, Lomonosov Moscow State University (BBS MSU) located in the northern part of the Republic of Karelia near the Arctic Circle.

Working on the ships of the Belomorskaya biostation at sea, students receive data and materials to solve the assigned engineering and geological task at the model range in the area of the biostation. The main object of study for such types of work is the bottom and upper part of the bottom sediments, within the framework of practice, research is carried out using modern methods such as seismoacoustics and side-view sonar.
Split Scientific Company is a long-time participant in the scientific and educational program “Floating University” under the auspices of UNESCO. Within the framework of the program, future scientists (university students and postgraduates) work and undergo training in real production conditions, in accordance with the concept of "Learning through research” in the field of marine geophysics, geology, biology and ecology.

Split staff annually accompany students on the expedition of the Floating University, conduct lectures on geophysical research methods, and teach the use of geophysical equipment. Split also provides its state-of-the-art equipment for conducting research during the geological and geophysical voyages of the Floating University.
