A single-channel receiving device (seismic spit) is designed to receive and amplify seismic signals during marine seismoacoustic studies using electric spark (sparker) or electrodynamic (boomer) seismic sources. The streamer can be used for shallow-depth geological and engineering-geological surveys in seas, rivers, lakes and reservoirs.
The principle of operation of the device
The towed seismic streamer is designed to receive and amplify seismic vibrations and transmit them to a seismic station located on a geophysical vessel. When conducting seismic surveys at sea (rivers), piezoelectric seismic receivers (hydrophones) are used, in which the excess pressure in the water associated with the arrival of a seismic wave is converted into an electrical signal. The sensing element is piezoceramics, with contacts for transmitting an electrical signal. The seismic receiver is placed in a neutral buoyancy receiving device – a marine seismic streamer, which is a polyurethane hose filled with a light liquid.
