INNOVATIONS TO TRANSFORM THE MARINE INDUSTRY
Paravan V2
The Paravan is part of the SplitMultiSeis 3D towing system. It allows you to tow seismic braids at a considerable distance from the vessel and move them away from the profile line for perpendicular opening of the alignment in order to increase the width of the survey coverage, which allows you to adapt the system to solve a large number of different tasks and increase productivity.

Appointment

The Paravan is part of the SplitMultiSeis 3D towing system. It allows you to tow seismic braids at a considerable distance from the vessel and move them away from the profile line for perpendicular opening of the alignment in order to increase the width of the survey coverage, which allows you to adapt the system to solve a large number of different tasks and increase productivity.

The principle of operation of the device

When the ship is moving, the seismic paravan moves away from the side and holds the braid system in marine seismic exploration at a predetermined distance. The use of paravans for towing the receiving-emitting array makes it possible to significantly increase the distance between the heads of seismic braids. Depending on the length of the seismic braids, the distance between their heads, the number of receiving channels and the number of sources, the width of the coating and the characteristics of the resulting seismic cube will change. Due to this, it is possible to adapt the methodology for working in different water areas and solving different tasks.
